
Ryerson UAV participated in the 11th annual Unmanned Systems Canada UAS Student Competition in Alma, Quebec from May 1st to 3rd.
The 2019 USC competition scenario was a solar farm surveillance scenario where drones could be used to automatically inspect the health of arrays of solar panels. Phase 1 of the competition consists of a design report, while Phase 2 is the operational flying demonstration conducted in Alma, Quebec.
A total of 16 teams from across Canada participated in phase 1 of the competition, while only 14 teams participated in phase 2 of the competition.
